I was reading about Abingdon Distillery releasing its first English single malt whisky. They’re in Oxfordshire, not far from where the Thames gets tired and slows down. The spirit was distilled in 2017 and matured in ex-bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks — a safe bet, but a decent one.
