I was reading about Benromach adding a 25-year-old single malt to its signature range. It’s a Speyside whisky, small batch, matured in first-fill bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks.
They say it’s rich in dried fruit, dark chocolate, and woodsmoke — all things that sound better at 11 a.m. than they do at 3 a.m. when you’re staring at the bottle and wondering who exactly you’re impressing.
The release is limited, naturally. Everything worth anything is limited — like time, like patience, like decent Wi-Fi in a Thai guesthouse.
