I was reading about Domaine Serene and Saverglass launching a new wine bottle called Cépage Eco. It’s lighter than the old one — less glass, less shipping weight, less carbon footprint, they say.
They’re calling it a step toward sustainability. The bottle still holds the same wine, same shape, same pretension. Just thinner walls, same silence when you tap it with a fork.
Domaine Serene makes Pinot Noir in Oregon. Good stuff. I drank two bottles in Dundee once and missed my bus to Portland. The bottle didn’t care. Neither did the bus.
