I was reading about this over a lukewarm espresso in Oakland this morning. Conte Camillo — a premium small-batch cocktail brand — just hit the US in full force. All five drinks at once. No fanfare, no mystery, just five bottled cocktails showing up on shelves like they’ve been waiting for a bus that finally arrived.
They’re Italian-inspired, small-batch, and apparently made with enough care to justify the word ‘premium’ on the label. I don’t know what’s in them. I don’t know if they’re good. I do know that someone, somewhere, decided five was the magic number — not three, not seven, but five.
The brand is under Mack Brands, which sounds like a guy named Mack who got tired of explaining himself and just branded the whole operation after his name. Fair enough.
