I was reading about MGP Ingredients changing its name to Sempreon. They say it’s to bring their three business units under one identity. Sounds like someone finally got tired of spelling out MGP at every investor call.
Sempreon — sounds like a Swiss watchmaker or a yoga retreat in Ubud. Not like a place that makes bourbon barrels and food starches. But sure, why not. Names change. Companies drift. Even I changed from Igor to Garry, and no one asked me to justify it.
They’ll keep making the same stuff — whiskey, proteins, starches — just under a new sign. Same building, same people, different letterhead. Happens everywhere. Moscow, Mumbai, Oakland. Just another Tuesday.
