I was reading about Super Bock — a Portuguese beer company, not a Portuguese yoga retreat — and saw they’re promoting their CFO to CEO. Cláudio Mateus. Name sounds like someone who knows where the receipts are and also where the good tapas are.
He’s been CFO since 2021, so he’s already seen the numbers bleed and the margins breathe. Now he’ll be the one signing the cheques and the press releases.
No word on whether he’ll keep the same suit or finally buy a jacket with actual pockets. Either way, the beer won’t taste different. It never does.
